With the ongoing pandemic and social distancing restrictions, it’s been a little tricky trying to organise a girls night out, am I right? This has been particularly difficult for mammas who feel like the only social life they have is that of their little one(s) quietly (and sometimes very loudly!) babbling away – yep, we’ve all been there, so don’t fret! However, since the majority of individuals have been double vaxxed and the rate of COVID transmission is dramatically decreasing, a lot of limitations have been eased or lifted completely (woohoo!) So, what better way to celebrate and get your girls together, than a girls night out?! Here are the top five restaurants in the UK you should consider booking for your social circle:
1. Asha’s Restaurant and Bar (Birmingham)
If you and your girls fancy an Indian at an award winning restaurant, then this is the place to dine! Set in the heart of central Birmingham, Asha’s Restaurant and Bar has a huge range of menus to feast your eyes upon, inspired by the authentic taste of India’s North-West Frontier, as well as a wide range of exotic drinks to choose from. Just be sure to prebook, as peak times can get quite busy!
2. Rudy’s Neopolitan Pizza (Manchester)
Ah, pizza; the perfect comfort food, am I right? If you and your girls prefer a casual setting with freshly made grub, then Rudy’s Neopolitan Pizza is the place to be! Start off with a selection of mouth-watering starters or opt from the sharers section on the menu if you like. Then, the best bit; choose from a large variety of tasty pizzas on offer – there’s something for everyone! Again, be sure to book in advance so you’re not left disappointed.
3. The Pump Room (Bath)
The Pump Room has been the heart of the social scene in Bath for almost two centuries! It boasts Jane Austen and Charles Dickens as its previous patrons, so this stunning neo-classical restaurant, complete with a live trio and pianist, is the perfect setting for lovers of the finer things in life. Whilst The Pump Room doesn’t offer a lunch menu at the moment, be sure to book to enjoy their daily Morning Bakery, Champagne Brunch and Pump Room Chandon Champagne Afternoon Tea menus instead!
4. Ibérica Leeds (Leeds)
Iberica Leeds is probably one of the most beautiful restaurants you can find in the centre of Leeds; it’s built in a magnificent Grade-II listed, stone building with high ceilings, stunning chandeliers and a ceiling length skylight window, which floods the main dining room with natural light, giving it an airy feel. The polished worktops, vintage bar stools and antique furniture are also sure to transport you and your girl squad back in time! Enjoy a range of appetisers, mains and desserts inspired by Spanish cuisine and created by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Nacho Manzano – you are guaranteed to authentically experience the spirit and style of Spain!
5. Happy Gathering (Cardiff)
Happy Gathering specialises in serving traditional Chinese cuisine in a Chinese inspired restaurant, with over 30 years of experience. Whether you and your girls decide to dine in or order a takeaway to eat in the comfort of your home, the wide range of menus are sure to offer something to suit everyone! Plus, there’s also a huge choice of options for vegetarian-friendly diets as well, so what’s not to love?
Are there any other restaurants you could recommend for an unforgettable girls night out?

Even though I don’t live in the UK, these all sound like great restaurants! I love Indian food so Asha’s is right up my alley & I saw on their website they have a Christmas vegetarian menu which I can definitely get behind!
